What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol and is a cannabinoid found largely in hemp! A cannabinoid is a group of chemical compounds that interact with cannabinoid receptors all over the brain and body. The most well-known cannabinoid is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), but CBD has become quite popular and cannabis alone contains 113 known cannabinoids. These are phytocannabinoids, meaning they are found in plants, rather than endocannabinoids which are made in our bodies. How does CBD work?
