The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change held a briefing after they released their 3 year report on human-induced climate change today, and their research shows that human emissions have sent the planet towards warming of 1.5°C without much recourse. They point out that drastic action could limit warming to that number, thus avoiding the most catastrophic effects of climate change, but it will require the largest polluters, including the US, China, the EU, India, Russia, Iran and Brazil to work together and make radical policy changes.
