Dr. Pol has been infatuated with animals since he was a boy, growing up on a dairy farm in the Netherlands. He graduated from the prestigious Utrecht University Veterinary program in 1970 and immigrated to the United States in 1971, where he founded Pol Veterinary Services with his wife, Diane. Since 1981 then they have provided quality care for the pets and livestock of over 25,000 clients, and serve as strong advocates for animal education through 4-H and the National Future Farmers of America organization. Dr. Pol has also published a book, called Never Turn Your Back on an Angus Cow. In 2011, the rest of the world got a chance to see Dr. Pol in action, as The Incredible Dr. Pol debuted on Nat Geo WILD. The show airs in over 100 countries worldwide, and is the #1 show on the network.
