Mr. Ramsey was previously at FNY Investment Advisors LLC for 5 years where he managed a dedicated cannabis long/short portfolio comprised of public companies and syndicate deals. As an early institutional investor in the legal cannabis industry, Mr. Ramsey gathered comprehensive industry knowledge and formulated key relationships with many of the leaders in the cannabis investment community. Prior to managing FNY Investment Advisers, LLC dedicated cannabis portfolio, John managed a systematic macro portfolio, where he developed quantitative trading algorithms utilized across multiple asset classes to generate asymmetric trading opportunities. Mr. Ramsey holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Mr. Martinez joined Measure 8 as an associate at its inception in January 2018. Juan is and has been responsible for completing the investments made by Fund I, as well as several M&A deals on behalf of Curaleaf. Previously Mr. Martinez worked as Senior Analyst at Fredericks Michael & Co., a cross-border M&A boutique, where he focused on European, North American, and Latin American mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in various industries, including healthcare, consumer products, aerospace & defense, real estate, and paper & packaging. Mr. Martinez graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Babson College and a General Course degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
