What Is Hemp Extract & Why Should You Try It?

Have you been hearing a lot about hemp extract lately? Has it gotten you curious as to what it actually is and why people all across the Globe are showing major interest in it? If that is the case, then you have come to the right place. Today we are talking about this extract and explaining what it is and why you should think of trying it.

One quick look may be enough to help you understand that there are a lot of benefits that come with this extract. However, before we get to those, let us first check what it is. In order to do that, we will first have to talk about the hemp plant. Let’s start with the basics.

What Is Hemp?

If I asked you what cannabis was, I’m sure you would have many answers ready. Yet, all of those answers would be connected to the fact that cannabis is psychoactive and that people are using it recreationally in order to influence their own minds. What if I told you that hemp comes from the cannabis family? Would you immediately associate it to these psychoactive properties as well?

I don’t know what your answer is, but the truth is that you definitely shouldn’t associate the hemp plant to any psychoactive effects and here’s why. While this plant does come from the cannabis family, it is regarded non-psychoactive for one simple reason. It has extremely low amounts of THC. If you want me to give you the percentage, then here it is. Hemp has less than 0.3% of Tetrahydrocannabinol, i.e. THC.

This plant which contains such low amounts of the psychoactive substance known as THC, is immediately thought of as non-psychoactive. So, there’s your first question answered. Since you cannot get high on hemp, you won’t be able to get high on its extract either. This plant has a lot of industrial uses and even clothes are made from it.

What Is the Extract?

Hemp extract is the oil derived from the seeds and the stalks of this plant. It can also be used for a wide variety of purposes, but its therapeutic effects are one of the most popular purpose the whole plant is known for. This oil is usually consumed as a supplement which helps people get the cannabinoids that their body needs, including Cannabidiol (CBD) and other phytocannabinoids.

These extracts are organically made, meaning that the final product you can purchase is completely natural, containing no harmful substances. We have already made it clear that toxicity shouldn’t be a concern and neither should side effects. According to research, you won’t have any side effects caused by these products, as long as you use the recommended dosage.

People are also generally concerned about the taste of these extracts. Surely, we are all used to healthy things tasting awful, aren’t we? Well, I can’t say what your particular experience will be when it comes to the taste of this oil. Generally, it depends on your particular preferences, but there are flavored products to purchase if you don’t like the taste of the extract alone or many add it to other food substances, like coconut oil, honey, yogurt, etc.

Why Should You Use It?

After realizing that these products are safe, you might start wondering if you should try it and why. There are many hemp oil benefits and you might certainly be able to use these products to your advantage. For starters, use as a supplement to keep your overall health in check by balancing the cannabinoid levels in your body.

There are also its therapeutic properties you should consider. This oil can potentially help you get relief from many types of pain and it has been show that it can potentially help ease anxiety symptoms. Furthermore, it has been shown in the reduction of epileptic seizures and bringing the body back to homeostasis..

As you can see, Hemp Extract is well worth a try.
